Not all tuning programs are aimed to make cars better on public roads. German tuning firm Racing One, for example, has prepared a host of upgrades for the Audi R8 V10 Coupe targeting those who want to use the mid-engined sports car mainly on the track.

Using its experience as a motorsports service provider and event organizer, Racing One made select tweaks to the R8’s 5.2 liter V10 engine lifting output from 518hp (525PS) to 602hp (610PS).

Among other changes, the tuner remapped the ECU and fitted a titanium sports exhaust system from Akrapovic.

Racing One engineers also equipped the R8 V10 with a 2-way MDS dampers from Bilstein Motorsport with stopping power now coming from a new set of race-spec brakes from Performance Friction Brakes.

A very Porsche-like green exterior foil wrap along with new black alloy wheels fitted with semi-slick tires along with a pair of bucket seats with 6-point belts and a fire extinguishing system inside complete the R8 tune.

Racing One says that the complete program costs €26,000 or about US$33,000.
