Breeze through this video and we wouldn’t blame you for not understanding what happened. It almost looks as though the guy in the Jeep lost his composure for no good reason, which is probably true anyway.
Still, here’s what a closer look reveals: The Jeep approaches the junction via a road that’s marked by a yield sign. The cammer must have then reacted in a certain way that prompted the Jeep driver to flip him off. Then, we assume some honking or yelling must have ensued. Unfortunately, there’s no audio.
Of course, if you stop to ask yourself whether or not there was a need for that type of behavior (even the presumed one), the answer is obviously no. Even if the Jeep didn’t yield, it’s not as if the cammer had to slam on the brakes or perform any avoidance maneuvers.
Besides, you can see the dashcam vehicle accelerate mid-turn, after the Grand Cherokee had already basically gone by, or just about. You can debate it, sure, and we don’t doubt the fact that if the police was present, the Jeep driver could have been pulled over, but the rest of it is completely unjustified.
The worst part is of course how the Jeep driver apparently left his SUV in Reverse instead of Park, something he could have realized if he wasn’t so outraged. Legally speaking, the cammer has everything they need in order to receive compensation for any damages.
