Vanderhall’s Venice Speedster Is A Three-Wheeled Single Seater With Turbo Power

Vanderhall has used the Sturgis motorcycle rally to unveil the 2019 Venice Speedster.

Designed for extended “solo touring,” the model is based on the three-wheel Venice and features a shorter windscreen, a larger “rear deck hump” and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. All models will come equipped with a Silver Vintage Metallic exterior and a standard tonneau cover. Customers will also have the option of ordering black rally stripes.

Bigger changes occur in the cabin as the Venice Speedster is a single seater. Besides the heated seat, the model has Saxony Brown leather upholstery and a wood rimmed steering wheel. Drivers will also find minimalist gauges, a climate control system and a 400 watt audio system with Bluetooth connectivity.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180 hp (134 kW / 182 PS). It is connected to a GM-sourced six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2019 Venice Speedster starts at $26,950 (£20,705 / €23,263) which makes it $3,000 (£2,304 / €2,589) more affordable than the two-seat Venice. The company is accepting pre-orders and customers can make a reservation for $250 (£192 / €215).

Fans interested in something sportier can hold out for the Venice Speedster R which will join the lineup for the 2020 model year. The company didn’t say much about that particular variant, but a teaser image suggests the car will have front fender vents and an aerodynamic body kit. The model will also have a high-performance braking system and lightweight alloy wheels with a black finish.
