Volkswagen is adding more show without the go to the facelifted CC sports sedan with the presentation of a more aggressively styled R-Line model, which will make its world premiere at the 2012 Auto Mobil International show in Leipzig on June 1st.
The CC R-Line will be available in the U.S. at the end of this year exclusively with the 200hp 2.0-liter turbocharged TSI gasoline engine, linked to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The R-Line package brings a handful of exterior and interior enhancements. On the outside, these include a newly styled front bumper with a larger lower air intake and projector-style fog lights, side skirts, smoked taillights, a chrome grille with the R logo, and unique 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels
Inside, you will find stainless-steel R-Line scuff plates while the multifunction steering wheel for the DSG-equipped model has paddle shifters.
The CC 2.0T R-Line will come equipped with standard features such as Bi-Xenon headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and the Adaptive Front-lighting System, LED tail lamps, auto windshield wipers, automatic climate-control, power front seats, leatherette seating surfaces and an upgraded audio system.
Pricing will be released closer to the car’s U.S. launch date.
