It is not the first time that it has been done, but it is always interesting to hear what kind of music artists can produce using sounds produced from an automobile.

Detroit-area Techno artists Joshua Harrison, Keith Kemp and Tom Newman accepted Ford’s challenge to each create their own bespoke track through the use of analog and digital sounds sourced directly from the new 2013 Ford Fusion sedan.

The trio of musicians recorded all sorts of sounds ranging from warning chimes and doors slamming to the movement of the windshield wipers.

“This project worked so well because Techno music, by its nature, is very similar to the makeup of a car,” explained Joshua Harrison.

“In both cases, there are lots of little pieces mechanically put together. Just like a car, a Techno song has many elements that serve their own small purpose, and the masters of the craft are those who can put it all together and make everything work as one solid piece,” he added.
