With its tuned BMWs costing as much as a family house, selling 100 examples of its flagship Hurricane models is no mean feat for a company like G-Power.

To mark the production milestone, the BMW tuning guru has introduced a special edition version of the E60-based M5 Hurricane RR that benefits from a 30-horsepower boost, which lifts the total output of the heavily-reworked and twin-supercharged 5.0-liter V10 from 789hp (800PS) to 819hp (830PS).

To achieve the increase in power, G-Power replaced the ASA T1-313 superchargers with the larger ASA T1-316 units. The V10’s peak torque remains at 780Nm (575 lb-ft) at 6,500 rpm.

G-Power says that the M5 Hurricane RR accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h (62mph) in 4.3 seconds, to 200 km/h (124mph) in 9.1 seconds and to 300 km/h (186mph) in 25.2 seconds, while the car’s top speed is in excess of 370km/h (230mph).

The light-blue M5 Hurricane RR also sports a new coilover suspension and larger brakes on both ends, while it rides on 20-inch wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tires size 255/35 ZR 20 at the front and 285/30 ZR 20 at the rear.

Prices start at €57,000 (US$72,000) for the engine conversion alone.
