What should have been an exciting day at the track turned into a nightmare for the driver of a first-gen BMW X4, whose ride was involved in an accident on the Nurburgring.
The video shows the so-called (in Bavaria) sports activity coupe attacking a left corner, just when an M3 overtakes it on the inside.
This is when things turn bad, as in an instant, the BMW X4 understeers and hits the right side barrier. The initial impact seems to have affected some steering components, as the vehicle then heads towards the left side barrier and hits it, before returning to the middle of the track.

During this time, a small Peugeot hatchback barely avoided the impact, and so did the driver of a Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, who then continued his lap as if nothing happened.
In addition to a mechanical inspection, the BMW X4 is going to need a new front bumper and fenders, alongside a steady hand lots of cash to return to its former condition.
As for the lady who was sitting behind the wheel of the German crossover when the impact happened, she seems to have (physically) walked away unharmed, though we can’t say the same about her ego.
