The marvelous piece of engineering known as the Ferrari 430 Scuderia was the spiritual successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale and paved the road for the 458 Speciale and 488 Pista.
It was made in a time when its direct rival from Lamborghini was the Gallardo, and came with the brand’s latest and greatest tech.
Compared to the F430, on which it is based, the Scuderia had an extra 20 PS (20 hp / 15 kW) and 5 Nm (4 lb-ft) of torque, for a grand total of 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft).
The bump in power and other work that went into its development cut 0.4 seconds from the F430’s 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) run, to 3.6 seconds, and lifted the top speed by 3 km/h (2 mph) to 319 km/h (198 mph).

While a little bit over 500 PS would be more than enough for street use, as well as the occasional track day, the one pictured here is even more powerful as it has been modified by Novitec with two superchargers, an ECU tune and other upgrades that bumped the V8’s output to 777 PS (766 hp / 571 kW).
This 430 Scuderia is apparently one of just 8 examples to have received this treatment, which in this particular car includes a matte grey finish and smoked taillights. Now boasting more power than the 488 Pista, it was taken to the mountains for some exciting runs, which you can witness right below.
