Don’t, even for a second, think that just because it’s not part of McLaren’s Super Series range, that the 570S can be tamed that easily.
After all, it’s capable of going all the way up to a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h), and hits the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in 3.2 seconds after setting off.
Also, the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that powers is pretty much the same engine as the 4.0-liter that lies in the bigger and meaner 720S, although with 200cc and 148 hp (150 PS / 110 kW) less. And in the 570S, the engine pushes out 562 horsepower (570 PS / 419 kW) and 443 pound-feet (600 Nm) of torque, so about the same as the discontinued Ferrari 458 Italia.

The McLaren 570S has already proved its talent against way more powerful cars, and in one run, it managed to beat the 840 hp (852 PS / 627 kW) Dodge Challenger SRT Demon into submission.
Now, despite having a lot of driver aids to assist the person holding the wheel, the human factor remains decisive. But surely, when facing an old Volkswagen Golf Mk3, nothing matters, even a bad start, right?
Not quite because, you see, the compact hatchback in question has welcomed a fair share of modifications, most of them focusing on power, and a parachute mounted at the back to help it stop.
