While most forms of vigilantism are frowned upon for good reason, helping out people in need is otherwise something worth commending and is part of what we like to call: being a good Samaritan.
With that in mind, here’s a great example of somebody who refused to stand by and watch while a thief disguised as some type of road worker attempted to get away with somebody else’s property – possibly a laptop case, from the looks of it.
The incident took place earlier this week in Alexandria, which in this case refers to a small farming town in South Africa, as opposed to the second-largest city in Egypt.
It’s actually a bit disconcerting to see how nobody else stepped up to help a fellow motorist, when it was clear that somebody was trying to gain access to their vehicle and relieve them of their property. It’s a good thing the rider didn’t hesitate, or else the culprit would have gotten away with what he had taken.
As soon as he saw the thief taking a bag out of the car, the rider pointed his motorcycle towards him and proceeded to knock him down. Unfortunately, a bike isn’t as maneuverable as a person when it comes to changing direction, which was something the thief used to his advantage in getting away.
In the end, the owner of the bag managed to retrieve his property after it was left on the ground a few yards further down the road, and it was all thanks to one man stepping up and doing what’s right.
