Fiat Professional is displaying an intriguing vehicle at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover. It’s a Fullback Cross pickup truck pimped by Garage Italia Customs, Lapo Elkann’s creative (and eccentric) hub.

Judging from the photos, the tuner’s intentions with the Mitsubishi L200-based pickup were to add a touch of luxury to an otherwise unremarkable utilitarian vehicle. It’s labeled as a concept for now but chances are it might become a limited edition model if the public’s reactions are favorable.

On the outside, the Fullback Cross Concept by Garage Italia sports a two-tone paint scheme that combines a metallic green body with a bronze roof and pillars.

Other custom exterior elements are the roof-matching mirror caps in bronze, chrome door handles, and 17-inch Black Matt alloy wheels shod with off-road tires.

If you like what Garage Italia did to the Fullback Cross’ bodywork, you might be even more impressed with the interior upgrade. The cabin features an “Elmo Vintage” brown leather treatment that gives the truck a classier, more upscale look. The leather seats sport soft textile surfaces in the middle in a darker hue, while matching brown leather trim adorns the dashboard and door cards as well.

We’re told nothing about a mechanical upgrade, so we assume it features the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine as the standard model. Rated at 180 PS (178 hp) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft), it’s mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Also standard is the selectable 4WD system that features a Torsen center differential that can be locked in a 50:50 torque split, low-range gears, and a mechanically locking rear differential.
