Following its unveiling at the end of last month, Nissan’s new Navara N-Guard model has now made its first public appearance at the 2018 Hannover Motor Show, alongside the Dark Sky Concept.
Unlike the concept, the Navara N-Guard is already on-sale, boasting a tough and stylish aesthetic with a number of exterior and interior upgrades over the regular version. In the UK, the Navara N-Guard costs upwards of £28,075 ($36,893), excluding VAT.
The N-Guard actually takes after the EnGuard Concept, unveiled back in 2016. The one visiting Hannover this year also comes with the AT32 conversion pack by Arctic Trucks, offering increased ground clearance, underbody protection and an optional snorkel. Nissan went as far as to call it the most capable Navara ever offered to European customers.
“The tough pickup trucks on display are the perfect embodiment of Nissan’s dedication to excellence in conversions. Powered by Nissan Intelligent Mobility and including ProPILOT, the incredible versatility of each vehicle allows us to go above and beyond to support any business need and serve as an authentic partner for our customers,” said Nissan LCV senior VP, Ashwani Gupta.
On display in Hannover was a Storm White example, although buyers can also opt to get their Navara with a Twilight Grey or a Metallic Black exterior. Other features on the truck include the side decals, matching side steps, roof rails, darkened headlights and a sunroof, while the cabin gets special floor mats and leather seats boasting yellow contrast stitching.
As for standard equipment, you have the headlight washers, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Intelligent Around View Monitor and more. The show truck also came with the optional rear differential lock.
