As of September 1, all Peugeot cars are compliant with the new WLTP protocol. However, some models are not available for order just yet.

One of them is the 308 GTi, whose sales will recommence next month, according to Largus.

The turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine has welcomed a few upgrades, including a particulate filter, which helps it meet the Euro6C emissions regulations. The downside is that it has lost 7 PS (7 hp / 5 kW) from its total output, which now sits at 263 PS (259 hp / 193 kW), while its CO2 emissions are 9 g/km higher, at 148 g/km.

Surprisingly, the French publication’s numbers disclose a 10 Nm (7 lb-ft) of torque gain. Moreover, despite having less horses to play with, the 2019 308 GTi’s 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) and standing kilometer (0.62 miles) times are identical, at 6 and 25.3 seconds respectively.

For the 2019MY, the Peugeot 308 GTi, whose four-banger now makes , has also welcomed two new color options, called .

The starting price of the car locally will reportedly go up by €200 ($235), to €38,900 ($45,724), while customers will get to choose between two new colors named White Frost Pearl and Black Perla.
