The M2 Competition came out this spring, and so far, not that many tuners have dared to modify it. Dahler, however, gave it a try and have just presented their own version of the M2.
It’s called the BMW M2 Competition2, and for a good reason as the Swiss company has already used the Competition moniker in the first M2 in 2016, when they stuffed an S55 engine into it.
The heart transplant, combined with some fine tuning, allowed the unit to produce 540 PS (532 hp / 397 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. Their latest creation has identical numbers to play with, at least in top form.

We said ‘top form’ because Dahler is also offering a lesser version, which makes only 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. In both cases, the factory speed limiter has been removed and the output is substantially higher than the stock car’s 405 hp (410 PS / 301 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm).
Other work performed to the M2 Competition is the addition of an in-house built stainless steel exhaust system with four tailpipes, said to provide the car with a “sporty-sonorous and unmistakable” sound.
Clubsport coilovers have been fitted for improved handling and, on request, the tuner can throw in a spring set that brings the ride closer to the ground and a new braking system with 400 mm (15.7 in) discs and 8-piston calipers.
Visually, Dahler’s M2 Competition2 is distinguished by a front spoiler lip with side flaps, rear spoiler or rear wing and 9×20-inch front and 10.5×20-inch rear wheels. Finally, customers who plan on participating in track days can order a roll bar and racing seats, which are available at an extra cost.
