Most Porsche aficionados will always be against tampering with a 911, regardless of the model, firmly stating that the best examples are those kept in factory condition.
This particular 911, however, has more upgrades than meet the eye. And the most important of all concerns the engine, as the model’s signature flat-six has been swapped for an LS3 V8.
The 6.2-liter unit that was introduced in the base Corvette in 2008 makes 430 HP in stock form, though it can easily be tuned to more than 500, or about as much as a modern 911 GT3.
The latter’s naturally aspirated 4.0-liter mill produces 500 PS (493 hp / 368 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque, and rockets the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, though comparing the two will probably be considered heresy by 911 fans.

While the GM V8 may not be visible, other upgrades are, including the new body kit that comes from Prior Design. Adorning the exterior of this 911 is a special paintwork and a set of golden-finished wheels.
This isn’t the first time someone stuffed an LS3 into a 911, as we stumbled upon another one last year, which was up for grabs for a steep $95,000.
