Custom Land Rover Defender Has Corvette Power, Kahn Body Kit

The Land Rover Defender is one of the most potent (and raw) off-roaders out there, and it’s only natural that fans of the 4×4 seek the very best when it comes to customizing.

One of the latest projects to come to our attention is the Project Evolution. It’s the work of ECD Automotive Design, a company previously known as East Coast Defender, which specializes in tuning Land Rover Defenders.

This isn’t your run of the mill aftermarket job, as the Project Evolution Defender has been outfitted with the same engine found on the C6 Corvette. The GM-made LS3 V8 unit is good for 430 PS (424 hp / 316 kW), and comes together with a Borla exhaust system that matches the soundtrack of the vehicle with its menacing look.

Finished in Basalt Schwarz Pearl, the exterior of the Land Rover Defender is upgraded with a Kahn wide-body kit. Other features include 20-inch wheels with a satin black look, auxiliary lights, roof rack, exoskeleton and a powerful winch mounted at the front.

Inside, things are rather posh, as the tuner used swaths of two-tone leather to cover the upper part of the dashboard, doors, seats and armrest. Also, there’s an infotainment system sitting in the middle of the dashboard, and ECD Automotive Design says that wireless charging for mobile devices is present as well, alongside the USB ports at the front and rear and a JL Audio system.
