In the Marvel universe, S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, and as the fancy counter-terrorism unit that it is, it’s been known to afford a nice car or two.

In the movies, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents have been seen driving blacked-out Acuras, whereas Nick Fury, the unit’s commander, drove a really clever Chevrolet Tahoe during Captain America: Winter Soldier, a Tahoe that was bulletproof, autonomous, had an AI assistant and loads of weapons.

Alas, Avengers: Infinity War came and (SPOILER alert), the entire Marvel cinematic landscape has been changed.

Now, we’re just yanking this car’s owner’s chain, but if this French sedan really was a S.H.I.E.L.D vehicle, then the unit must have undergone massive budget cuts following the events at the end of Infinity War, when the mad titan Thanos snapped his fingers and half of all beings in the universe ceased to exist. Definitely the type of thing that could lead to a tightening of the belt among law enforcement entities.

What’s interesting is that as far as non-premium midsize sedans go, this second generation Citroen C5 was considered pretty high-tech when it first came out in 2008. It was also mighty comfortable thanks to its hydropneumatic suspension setup.

The picture was posted on Reddit by Mr-Bishi and it seems to originate from the UK. While we wouldn’t go as far as to say that it belongs on a thread dedicated to bad car mods, we definitely understand those who think the stickers are a bit lame.
