When you’re test driving a very powerful sports car like the new 580hp rear-wheel drive Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, there’s always a chance something might go wrong. Unfortunately, for auto journalist Aaron Gold, something did go wrong, but at least he wasn’t hurt.
As we found out from his Facebook page where he posted this picture, Aaron Gold hold several positions including the Vice President of the Los Angeles-based Motor Press Guild (MPG), a consulting producer on the History Channel series Top Gear USA and an editor at “About.com Cars”.
As for the accident, Gold commented on the picture he uploaded: “Blame it on the rain”. He also added: “Driver was me, I am fine, thank you. GM guys said the damage is cosmetic, but maybe they are trying to make me feel better…”
Well, we’ll just say good for him for having a sense of humor about the incident and of course, thumbs up for not trying to hide it.
Update: Gold wrote a post on ‘About.com’ teasing his upcoming review of the Camaro ZL1 while traveling to the Virginia International Raceway for GM’s presentation and which you can read here.
