Bugatti has made no secret of the fact that it is ready to expand its range beyond the existing Chiron.
The first model will reportedly be an even faster version of the Chiron, which might or might not be named the Super Sport and is expected at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show.
This, however, is just another variant of its hypercar. The second, distinct model in its range will be either a saloon or a luxury SUV, with the latter being the most probable option.
However, if Bugatti’s designers popped some pills and went really wild, they could design something like this: a Chiron adapted for off-road use.
This rendering comes from Rain Prisk and depicts something that would offer drivers the same interior views as a regular Chiron, but with the added capacity to tackle very treacherous terrain.
Evidently, the biggest difference between the car pictured and the real-life Chiron are the huge off-road tires. To accommodate these new shoes, the Chiron’s ride height has been increased and the fenders have been altered. Elsewhere, the vehicle includes off-road lights up front, a small winch, and a strong skid plate, while adding to the vehicle’s versatility is a large roof rack.
Of course, a company with the rich heritage of traditional values of Bugatti would never make something like this a reality. While it will, in all likelihood, indeed launch an off-roader, it will be a luxurious SUV along the lines of the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan, only much more exclusive, faster and way more expensive.
