Special Vehicle Engineering has taken the wraps off the 2019 Yenko Camaro.

Based on the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, this year’s lineup includes the entry-level Yenko/SC Stage 1 with a custom-built 6.8-liter V8 engine. It features an aluminum block, a forged steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons and CNC ported cylinder heads. The engine has also been equipped with a supercharger and a custom tune.

Thanks to these modifications, the Yenko/SC Stage 1 Camaro develops 835 hp (622 kW / 846 PS). This means the model has 380 hp (283 kW / 385 PS) more than the standard Camaro SS.

Besides the high-performance powertrain, the car has been equipped with a carbon fiber hood and 20-inch wheels with a gunmetal finish. Interior changes are minor, but include sYc embroidered front headrests, Yenko-branded floor mats, special door sill plates and an individually numbered badge.

The Yenko Stage II Camaro is largely identical, but it features a significantly upgraded engine. Among the changes are a 20% larger supercharger, high-flow cylinder heads and a bigger throttle body. The engine has also been equipped with stainless steel long tube headers, an upgraded fuel injection system, a performance exhaust and a more aggressive tune. These modifications enable the output to climb to 1000 hp (745 kW / 1013 PS) and 875 lb-ft (1185 Nm) of torque.

The rest of the car is largely identical to the Stage 1, but the Stage II is distinguished by unique wheels and 1000HP badging.

Since the Stage II is based on the Camaro SS 1LE, the car also has a sport-tuned suspension, magnetic ride control and a limited-slip rear differential. Other highlights include a heavy-duty cooling system, Recaro seats and a front splitter.

Production will be limited to 25 units each, but there’s no word on pricing.
