If you were in the market for a car collection, the last place you would look for one would probably be Craigslist.

And yet, that’s the exact place where a guy from Los Angeles decided to advertise his car collection — a mighty fine one, we should add. The man says he has owned most of the cars for many years and he would happily continue to keep them if they don’t sell. That can only mean one thing, that he’s not cash-strapped.

So why is he selling them, then? Well, what you see in the photos represents “about half” of his collection, and he’s selling it “to go in another direction.”

The inventory looks quite enticing if you ask us, and the seller claims all cars are in excellent condition, with clear titles, all records, books, stickers and so on. Understandably, he warns potential customers not to expect tire wholesale prices and also says he’s not interested in tire kickers or trades.

Now, the collection itself includes quite a few beauties, not all of which are featured in the gallery. There’s a “flawless” 1987 Mercedes 190 E 2.3-16 with 62,000 miles (99,779 km) on it. Or maybe you’d prefer a more recent 1999 Mercedes C43 in excellent condition with 44,000 miles (70,811 km).

For all of you fans of youngtimer Mercs out there, the guy also has a 1994 Mercedes E500 with just 21,000 miles (33,796 km) that’s up for grabs.

If BMWs are your cup of tea, you can get a “mechanically perfect” 1991 BMW M5 with 170,000 miles (273,588 km) on it. Then there’s a 1997 BMW M3 E36 with 66,000 miles (106,216 km) that the seller owned from new. Finally, the BMW section ends with a 2011 M3 sedan with 56,000 miles (90,123 km).

There are also three 911s on offer, two of which are GT3s: a 1997 Porsche 911 Targa (993), a 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 (996) and a 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The latter has just 5,100 miles (8,207 km) on it.

The Ferrari section includes a 1995 Ferrari F512M, a 1998 Ferrari F355 GTB, and 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. For fans of British cars, a 2012 Morgan 3 Wheeler and a 1966 Jaguar E-type are also up for grabs.

And so we get to the supercar area that includes a 2001 Dodge Viper ACR and a 2005 Ford GT with just 888 miles (1,429 km). Finally, the icing on the cake is a 2015 McLaren P1 that has covered 1,800 miles (2,896 km) from new.
