Audi’s 2.5-liter five-banger that powers the RS3 and TT RS has an big tuning potential, to the point that it can become even more powerful as the 5.2-liter V10 found in the R8.

In the latest TT RS, it puts out 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque straight from the factory.

The Coupe version of the TT RS goes to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and maxes out at 250 km/h (155 mph). Opt for the Dynamics Plus package, and the V-max increases to 280 km/h (174 mph).

The car is the work of Turbo Engineers, who didn’t reveal many details, and has 600 PS (592 hp / 442 kW) available on tap.

This makes it 60 PS (59 hp / 44 kW) more powerful than the RWD R8 supercar, and only 10 PS (10 hp / 7 kW) down on the R8 V10 Plus. Yep, some times good things do come in small packaged, don’t they?
