Last week, our spy photographers caught the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante with no camouflage whatsoever, and now we have the video that goes with it.

As you can tell from the license plates, it’s the same prototype which still hasn’t lowered its roof because of the bad weather.

Still, even with the soft-top protecting the cabin from the elements, the DBS looks good, and manages to keep the dynamic profile of its fixed-roof sibling, which is quite a head-turner. Moreover, since it’s basically the same car, bar some added weight to help it cope with the roofless design, it should offer the same GT comfort, combined with supercar-like acceleration.

The 2020 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante won’t bring any surprises in the engine department either. Thus, it will be powered by the same twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 lump of the Coupe.

The unit develops 725 PS (715 hp / 533 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque. It helps the fixed-roof DBS Superleggera go from naught to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 339 km/h (211 mph).

Expect a similar 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint number from the Volante, and a slightly lower top speed, which will probably still exceed 320 km/h (199 mph).
