A woman led the police on a wild chase, driving at a very high speeds and putting herself, her baby that was in the car with her, and other drivers at risk.
The woman was initially pulled over by a trooper in a traffic stop, but she took off because she had outstanding warrants. The footage from above shows her driving her Mercedes GLK extremely fast on the highway, going over the median and even off the road – why, she even ignored a deflated left front tire and kept on going!
Eventually, she crashed her SUV into a stationary pickup truck that was waiting at an intersection, as she had nowhere else to go and not enough space left to brake. After the crash, she grabbed her baby from the backseat and attempted to flee on foot.
To make matters worse, the woman then actually jumped into the front passenger seat of a passing vehicle, but at that point police officers caught up to her and proceeded to remove her from the car, while also rescuing the driver of that particular vehicle and her child.
According to Bexar County officials, the woman had an open felony warrant in her name even before this incident, and was eventually charged with evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance and endangering a child, reports ABC 13.
All things considered, this entire incident had a positive outcome, despite the crash. Seen as how she came close to losing control at much higher speeds before hitting that pickup, it’s easy to acknowledge that things could have ended much worse – especially in those brief moments when she actually drove on the wrong side of the road.
