Speedkore’s Carbon Fiber Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Packs 1200 HP

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon went out of production earlier this year, but the model is making a triumphant return to SEMA thanks to Speedkore.

While the car looks pretty standard at first glance, this particular Demon has been equipped with carbon fiber bodywork. As a result, the bumpers, hood, roof and quarter panels are all constructed out of the lightweight material. Speedkore didn’t even stop at the main components as the company also created a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber mirror caps and carbon fiber fender flares – just to name a few things.

There’s no word on how much lighter the car is, but the extensive use of carbon fiber undoubtedly results in a significant weight savings. That’s certainly a good thing as the standard Challenger SRT Demon tips the scales at 4,280 lbs (1,941 kg) which is slightly more than a Honda Ridgeline.

Besides being lighter than the standard model, the Speedkore Demon is more powerful. Under the hood, the car’s 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine has been equipped with a cold-air intake, a new throttle body and a larger supercharger. Other upgrades include a Triple Four fuel system, new fuel injectors and a DiabloSport tune.

Thanks to all these modifications, the engine now produces 980 hp (730 kW / 993 PS) on the dyno. The company went on to say this is roughly 1,200 hp (895 kW / 1,216 PS) at the crank.

Rounding out the changes are carbon fiber door panels and a 14-point roll cage. The model has rides on new 20-inch HRE wheels which are outfitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

Since the car was designed to go road racing, the company is already planning future modifications. These include fitting a “more suitable suspension” and upgrading the brakes.
