Jay Leno is a classic and sports car lover, but he does like his comfy rides as well. Thus he has chosen to display his latest purchase, a special-order long-wheelbase Lincoln Black Label Navigator, at this year’s SEMA show.
The famous car enthusiast’s example is finished in a Chroma Crystal Blue paint finish over a Black Label Yacht Club theme inside. The customization options include a two-tone body color repaint, darker privacy glass with a smoky tint, darker chrome accents and different wheels. The interior features new seating color accents, special backlit sill plates and additional wrapping in supple Venetian leather of various touch points.
The customization options were designed by Lincoln’s Design Studio and executed by Galpin Motors & Auto Sports in California.
“Lincoln is always about quiet confidence,” said Earl Lucas, Lincoln Chief Designer. “It’s not about being ostentatious. At Lincoln, we always seduce, never attack. These changes just show possibilities – they simply serve to highlight what’s already there.”
“As an automotive enthusiast and historian, I’ve been a fan of Lincoln ever since Edsel Ford created the Continental,” Jay Leno added. “Edsel had a reputation for creating iconic and timeless designs.”
The full-size luxury SUV has a 131.6-in wheelbase (3,343mm) in LWB configuration and is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque that’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Jay Leno’s customized Lincoln Black LaberlNavigator will be on display at Jay’s Garage stand at SEMA.
