From the weird side of JamesEdition comes a one-off supercar called the E.C. OnlyOne P8.

Its name may be a bit weird, but beneath the new carbon-aluminum handmade body lies the platform of the Ferrari F430, so we’re off to a good start.

It probably still uses the naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V8 of the Italian supercar that’s refreshingly mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Only the quoted output is 600 horsepower at 8,640 rpm, about 110 hp more than the F430. That’s very impressive for a car that weighs 1,200 kg (2,646 lbs), or approximately 150 kg (331 lbs) less than the dry weight of the Ferrari donor.

The E.C. OnlyOne P8 was designed to resemble the race cars of the 1970s. It comes with gullwing doors that facilitate ingress and egress, and has a nose-lift system that raises the front end by 60 mm (2.4 in) at the push of a button.

Some of the comfort features that equip the supercar are air conditioning and a reversing camera, and the vehicle also benefits from parking sensors, Alcantara and leather upholstery, and carbon fiber and aluminum trim.

Behind the one-off project is Enea Casoni (hence the E.C.), a former racing driver who built the car near Bologna, Italy. Since then, he raced it in this year’s Gumball 3000 and is now looking to part ways with it.

The aforementioned ad provides a closer look into the life of both the E.C. OnlyOne P8 and its creator, and also reveals the staggering asking price: €2.5 million, or $2.85 million at today’s exchange rates. For the sake of comparison, that’s about as much as a Ferrari LaFerrari or Bugatti Veyron on the ‘used’ car market.
