This $3.2 Million Collection Of M And Z Cars Is A BMW Enthusiast’s Dream

If you’re a busy person, starting a car collection can be a time-consuming enterprise.

It goes without saying that you need to have a better-than-average financial situation to do something like this in the first place. Classic cars aren’t getting any cheaper, quite the contrary. So, if you don’t have the patience to go to auctions, browse classifieds, and meet sellers that aren’t completely honest about their cars, there’s always the option of buying someone else’s collection.

Of course, people don’t put their collections up for sale that often, but when they do chances are you can get a good deal. After all, no one is willing to part with something they invested a lot of time, resources and care in if they didn’t need the money.

If BMW’s are your cup of tea (especially M and Z cars), you can consider yourself lucky. We’ve come across a stunning collection of 13 of Bavaria’s finest modern classics. It’s called “The Collection of BMW Legends” and it’s up for sale at Enthusiast Auto Group (EAG), a Cincinnati, Ohio-based BMW specialist.

There are 13 cars in the collection that brings together some of the finest M and Z cars from 1981 to 2013. The ad says it’s the first time such a historic collection of BMWs has been offered to the public market and we tend to agree.

Where else are you going to find a 1981 BMW M1, a 1990 BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution, a 1991 BMW Z1, and a 2003 BMW Z8 for sale in the same place? Mind you, the cars are sold together, so you cannot pick just one, you have to go all the way and splash $3.2 million on the entire collection. The price includes “VIP enclosed transport” to anywhere in the continental United States.

That’s an awful lot of money for a bunch of 1980s-2000s BMWs, but you should know all the vehicles “are fully rejuvenated to near-new condition,” according to EAG.
