The Carrera GT is one of the best supercars ever made by Porsche. It’s the predecessor of the 918 Spyder and, just like the hybrid hypercar, it features an open-top layout.

The Carrera GT was made in 1,270 examples, and most of them are currently being tucked away for winter, in the northern hemisphere at least.

But while some owners refrain from putting miles on the clock hoping that they’ll make a pretty buck by flipping them when the time comes, others are not afraid to take them out and have some fun.

This uber-Porsche proved that it still has what it takes, more than a decade after it left the assembly line in Leipzig, Germany. So, it did a few donuts for the camera, disturbing the peace with its straight-piped, naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V10.

With 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW) and 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) of torque produced, the 1,455 kg (3,207 lbs) Carrera GT can do 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, before maxing out at 330 km/h (205 mph).

Accompanying the Carrera GT on that day was yet another supercar with a naturally aspirated V10 engine, a manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive: a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-2. And the Italian bull was subjected to the same tire-punishing job, as you can see in the video that follows.
