Thirty years ago, in 1982, the Pininfarina Studi e Ricerche (Pininfarina Study and Research) center was established by the famous automotive designer in the city of Cambiano in the region of Piemonte in Italy.
Coincidentally, 20 years later, Pininfarina inaugurated its new Engineering Center, which would increase the carrozzeria’s styling and production abilities, in the same city.
To honor the city, Pininfarina announced that the new concept that it is preparing to unveil at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March would be named after it.
The Italian styling house released the first image of the Cambiano which reveals the right headlight, and sections of the front fender, bumper, hood and windshield.
According to the Italian firm, the Cambiano was designed “with great attention to the environment, both as to the engine and as to the materials’ choice”.
That’s all we get for now but Pininfarina promises that more images and details will become available as we near closer to the Geneva Motor Show.
