The Hyundai Palisade will premiere shortly at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the full reveal can be viewed below from 3:55 p.m PT / 6:55 p.m. ET on Wednesday from the comfort of your couch.
The three-row, eight-seat Palisade will be the largest SUV ever produced by the South Korean automaker. Ufortunately for it, official images of the vehicle were published on the web.
The Palisade’s design takes obvious styling cues from the Hyundai HDC-2 Grandmaster Concept that was revealed earlier this year. Additionally, there are styling cues from other Hyundai models that immediately catch the eye, including the slim headlights very similar to those from the small Kona and Santa Fe models.

Beyond it’s head-turning looks, the Hyundai Palisade is expected to ride on the same platform as the 2020 Kia Telluride which will premiere at January’s Detroit Auto Show. According to sources, the Kia will most likely use the same 3.3-liter V6 delivering 290 hp and 252 lb-ft (341 Nm) of torque as the Sorento.
As for what will power the Palisade, it remains a bit of a mystery but we wouldn’t be surprised to see more than one engine offered to customers. One candidate would be the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine of the new Santa Fe, delivering 185 hp and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm) of torque.
In terms of safety, the Palisade will come loaded with Hyundai’s latest and greatest technologies. These should include Blind-Sport Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, all found within the Hyundai SmartSense suite of driver assistance systems. We also expect to see Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go.
The 2020 Hyundai Palisade will go on sale in the United States next summer.
