The only recent comparable accident that comes to mind upon seeing this Miami police cruiser in what can only be described as an embarrassing position, is the New Hampshire incident back in February when a Ford Fusion landed and stayed on its face in a snow bank.
We’re told by ABC News that police officer J. Brutus was driving near the intersection of NW 6th Avenue and 67th street in Miami when he allegedly looked down to grab a pen that had fallen but when he looked up, he found himself…staring at the sky!
What happened is that while Brutus was looking for his pen, his patrol car veered off and rode on a Florida Power and Light pole’s extension cord that flung the car to a 45-degree angle against the pole.
To compound the situation, Brutus found himself stuck in the car and was forced to call Fire Rescue to get him out…
While clearly embarrassed, the police officer walked away without a scratch.
