The Porsche 718 Cayman, which is one of its direct rivals, starts at $56,900, and cuts back on power. Ut gas 300 hp compared to the 405 hp in the M2 Competition, and does the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.9 seconds, or 4.5 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package, which is 0.9 sec and 0.5 sec, respectively, slower than the Bimmer.

But the M2 Competition is not only more affordable than the 718 Cayman; it’s also extremely fun to drive.
