Jeep is looking to appeal to gadget fans with a special edition version of the 2018 Cherokee featuring a new Tech Connect Package.
In this flavor, the compact SUV comes with Uconnect for Amazon Alexa, thus allowing owners to make voice-activated requests, with commands that can start the engine, lock and unlock the doors, send navigation instructions, and check the fuel and tire pressure levels.
Additionally, by purchasing the 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with the Tech Connect Package, owners will also get an Amazon Echo Dot, in addition to 3-month subscriptions to Amazon Music Unlimited Family Plan and Audible.
Moreover, it also gets the larger 8.4-inch infotainment system with 3G connectivity, one-year Sirius XM satellite radio subscription, Premium Audio Group, and rear backup assist, among others.
“Cherokee’s new Tech Connect Package allows customers to minimize the everyday stresses of busy lifestyles by providing them with a variety of ways to stay conveniently connected to their vehicles, while making every drive exceptionally informative, entertaining and unique”, said Jeep’s head honcho, Mike Manley.
In addition to the equipment upgrades, the 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with Tech Connect Package also gets gloss black finishes on the chin appliqué, upper and lower grille surround, roof rails, and badging, Diamond Black Crystal-painted lower cladding, and 18-inch aluminum wheels.
The first units of the Jeep Cherokee Latitude with Tech Connect Package will arrive in showrooms nationwide in November. Prices start from $26,190 for the 2WD models, and $27,690 for the 4WD versions, plus a $1,095 destination charge.
