As the mid-engine Corvette C8 gets all the attention online, Chevrolet is preparing to raise prices on the entire 2019 Corvette family.

The last time GM operated a mid-year price increase for the Corvette was shortly after the C7’s launch. As it turns out, all 2019 Corvette models have become more expensive starting December 17 when Chevrolet introduced the new price list — although its customer website doesn’t feature the new prices yet.

According to Corvette Blogger, which claims it got hold of the new prices from Atlantic City-based dealer Kerbeck Corvette, price hikes range from $405 to $2,500.

The least hit models are the 2019 Corvette Stingray, Stingray Z51 and Grand Sport coupe models that will cost $405 than before. Their convertible counterparts will add $905, while the Z06 Coupe and Z06 Convertible will set buyers back an additional $1,405 and $1,905, respectively. The biggest price gains are reserved for the top-dog ZR1 and ZR1 Convertible — $2,000 and $2,500, respectively. That’s not all, unfortunately.

Chevrolet will also raise the price of the eight-speed automatic transmission option from $1,725 to $1,995. Given that more than 80 percent of Corvette buyers go for the auto gearbox, this increase will also be reflected in the final price for the majority of buyers. Speaking of the final price, none of the values you see in the table include the $1,095 destination fee — or the gas guzzler tax fees for the Z06 and ZR1.

And now for some good news, the dealer said the new Corvette prices only affect cars invoiced from December 17 onwards. That means Corvettes currently available at dealers will not see the price increase. Furthermore, customers with sold orders that are invoiced after December 17 won’t get charged more either.

UPDATE: We reached out to Chevrolet about the reported price increases and we’ve received confirmation from Chris Bonelli, Car and Crossover Communications, Chevrolet. “Yes, those numbers are correct. The new prices are effective on all vehicles built 12/17 and on,” the GM representative said.
