Acura is returning to the Sundance Film Festival on January 25 through February 2, as leading actors, writers and directors will be interviewed by filmmaker Kevin Smith at the IMDb Studio at Acura Festival Village, located at Swede Alley at 5th St.
More than 100 MDX crossovers with SH-AWD will be on location at Park City, Utah, part of the automaker’s ninth year as a Sundance Institute partner. Meanwhile, daily programming at the Acura Stage will include industry and celebrity panels, as well as live music.
The MDX will also serve as official vehicle of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The 100+ crossovers will transport filmmakers, talent, festival jurors and Sundance Institute staff around, showcasing high levels of equipment such as the Advance and Entertainment packages.
Acura will actually feature a full vehicle display throughout Park City, which will include the NSX supercar, powered by a hybrid twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine with a combined output of 580 PS (573 HP) and 644 Nm (476 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the NSX to get from zero to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, before maxing out at 307 km/h (191 mph).
The 2019 Sundance Film Festival will showcase some of the latest world premiers, ranging from movies of multiple genres to documentaries and shorts. Among the most highly anticipated premiers, we can name Nisha Ganatra’s Late Night (starring Emma Thompson), Grant Sputore’s apocalyptic flick I Am Mother and Scott Z. Burns’ The Report, starring Adam Driver.
