Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of vehicles crash into stores, gas stations and restaurants. However, most of them do so right-side up.

This crash is New Kensington, Pennsylvania is certainly different as the driver of the sedan flipped the car moments before crashing into a Subway restaurant on its roof.

Details are limited, but Pittsburgh’s WPXI reports the crash happened at approximately 2:30 am local time last Thursday. The station goes on to say surveillance cameras from a nearby Avis caught the driver heading northbound on Stevenson Boulevard before turning right onto Baldrick Street. Less than a minute later, the car was seen going southbound on Stevenson Boulevard when it hit a curb, rolled over and then crashed into the restaurant upside down.

The story doesn’t end there as the driver exited the vehicle, apparently unharmed, and then attempted to flip the sedan over. The driver also tried to get two bystanders to help him, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The man took off before police arrived and officers are currently looking for him. While police haven’t revealed the driver’s identity, the station says they know the car didn’t belong to him as the car’s owner contacted police.

While WPXI doesn’t elaborate, CBS Pittsburgh reports the car is believed to belong to the parents of the girlfriend who is dating the driver. If that’s the case, police shouldn’t have too much trouble identifying the man and eventually arresting him.

If the man is caught, he could be facing a number of charges including leaving the scene of an accident. The driver could also be forced to pay for the damages to the restaurant and the car.
