This one-off Lada Niva may be a much more affordable alternative to the Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6, but the truth is that not a single soul will be cross-shopping between the two.
Nonetheless, for a mere 500,000 rubles, equal to $7,250/€6,366 at the current exchange rates, you can drive it home. The only catch is that you’ll probably have to take a trip to Russia to do so, as that’s where the vehicle is located.
So, what do you get in return for paying pretty much half the price of a 2019 Ford Fiesta in the United States? That’ll be a 2002 Niva with an engine swap, 150 horsepower, approximately 100,000 km (62,137 miles) on the clock, and a heavily modified body and underpinnings.

The small, and very primitive, SUV has been turned into a pickup truck with an extra rear axle that makes it a 6×6. It also has auxiliary lights, a roof rack, side steps, steel front bumper, chunky off-road tires and several other amenities that have spruced up its styling and increased its off-road abilities.
Found on Avito, the ad claims that this heavily modified Niva is in good overall condition and everything works just fine.
This reminds us of another Niva with three axles. Only that project hasn’t been finished yet, as its creators still have to come up with a way to transfer the torque to the extra wheels. Thus, they might want to get in touch with whoever built this one and exchange some critical information in order to complete their project.
