Founded 55 years ago, Lamborghini is an automaker that makes quintessential poster cars, the likes of which we all probably had on our bedroom walls at one point or another.

Admiring these types of cars while growing up is hardly ever about heritage or even performance. What attracts the eye is that ultra-aggressive design that’s been with us ever since the mid 1970s when the Countach made its debut.

Sure, there have been other iconic models prior to the Countach, most famously the Miura. But even though the Miura considered by many to be the most beautiful car ever made, its successor looked like the came from outer space, heralding the advent of wild-looking supercars.

Since then, Lamborghini has persisted with the same recipe, creating the Diablo, Murcielago, Gallardo, Aventador and Huracan, plus loads of special editions and even a new SUV -the Urus.

Given that Lambos have been a lot of kids’dream for so many years makes this latest ad quite heartwarming. It doesn’t feel all that staged and the kid’s reactions towards the end of the clip seem genuine – it’s possible he may have had no idea they were going to surprise him with an actual ride in an Aventador SVJ.

He even got the chance to fire up that naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12, which in the SVJ produces 770 PS (759 HP) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque, enough to get you from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.8 seconds.
