What you’re looking at are two supercars dubbed the Bertone Dianchè BSS GT Cube and Bertone Dianchè BSS GT One and no, they have not come from the famed Italian design and coachbuilding company. Yes, they are yet more supercars to come from an unknown company with bold ambitions.

The parent company of Dianchè, Flymove, recently secured a license to use the Bertone name from AKKA Technologies, the company which purchased the rights to the famous name. The BSS GT Cube and BSS GT One feature Bertone branding but that’s where the relationship ends.

Flymove unveiled life-size prototypes of the two electric supercars at an exclusive event in Milan, Italy late last year and has released a number of details about the duo.

For starters, the entry-level BSS GT One features an electric motor at each axle and pumps out a combined 400 hp while the BSS GT Cube will offer up 800 hp. Flymove says that will be enough for a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 2.2 seconds and a 217 mph (350 km/h) top speed.

The BSS in the name of the two models refers to the Battery Swap System which Flymove has developed. Virtually identical to the battery swap system which Tesla toyed with a few years ago, the technology doesn’t rely on charging stations and simply involves battery stations that can swap out a vehicle’s drained battery pack for a fully-charged one. Tesla was unable to justify making such a system a reality so it’s unclear how Flymove intends to do so.

The company claims that it will build just nine examples each of the BSS GT Cube and BSS GT One and that deliveries will commence in early 2020.
