Last week we brought you the first teaser images of the facelifted Lamborghini Huracan but the problem was the photos didn’t show much.
The shots only revealed details such as the headlights and a fragment of the front bumper. Thankfully, there’s more of those where they came from — that is, Lamborghini’s Unica invite-only smartphone app. Auto Express got access to the app and managed to download a new photo that reveals much more of the refreshed Huracan.
First of all, the image discloses the car’s name, Lamborghini Huracan Evo. Hinting at an evolution compared to the current model, the facelifted Huracan sports several styling updates — although you need to have a keen eye for detail to spot them. The most noticeable is the updated exhaust system with dual tips that remind of the range-topping Huracan Performante.
On the Huracan Evo, the tailpipes flank the license plate, while on the Huracan Performante the plate is placed lower. Another new addition is the small spoiler placed above the third brake light. Rounding off the changes is a more aggressively cut rear bumper that integrates a massive diffuser.
All these are clues that the Huracan Evo will be a step above the current LP 610-4 as far as performance is concerned. Actually, the LP 610-4 is expected to be renamed LP 620-4 to reflect a power increase of 10 horsepower. For the same reason, the rear-wheel-drive LP 580-2 will be called LP 590-2.
Lamborghini will make some updates to the interior as well, headlined by a new touchscreen infotainment system with a portrait orientation that will replace at least 23 different buttons and three control knobs. The 2020 Lamborghini Huracan is expected to debut this year, possibly at the Geneva Auto Show in March.
