The five-door hatchback version of the latest generation of the Opel Astra has caught the attention of Senner Tuning that has introduced a new performance and styling package for models equipped with the 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine.

The German tuning firm has treated the four-banger with an updated ECU, a BMC sport air filter and a sport exhaust system with twin tail pipes, boosting output from 140-horses and 200Nm to 165HP and 250Nm.

Next up on Senner’s list of upgrades is the Astra 5d’s exterior that benefits from a styling kit comprising of a matte black Steinmetz front grille, a front lip apron, roof spoiler, side skirts and a rear diffuser, all trimmed in carbon fiber.

The tinted side windows and the new 19-inch Alutec alloy wheels with Vredestein performance tires size 235/35 R19 plus the red brake calipers complete the look.

The complete conversion is priced at a rather steep €11,900 (about US$16,400).
