Nissan NV300 Van Transformed Into A Mobile Workshop Concept

Nissan is present at the 2019 Brussels Motor Show in Belgium with a new NV300 Concept that boasts a custom-built interior.

Described as “a mobile workshop for a creative woodworking professional”, it features a lot of equipment such as swivel seating on floor rails, space-saving storage, touchscreen computer, LED lighting and others.

This concept also features an integrated portable battery solution called the Energy Roam. The power pack, which uses second-life batteries from Leaf electric vehicles, has a storage capacity of 700 kWh and a power output of 1 kW. It can be used to power various tools, can be recharged using the roof-mounted solar panel and is weatherproof.

“With the NV300 Concept van, Nissan is really thinking about the future of the commercial vehicle as an authentic partner for business customers”, said the brand’s Europe LCV Planning and Marketing Director, Francesco Giacalone. “It’s practical and versatile, as well as innovative and self-sufficient with the addition of Nissan Energy Roam. We believe it has enormous potential in the LCV sector, and is a key differentiator for Nissan commercial vehicles.”

The model is, for now, just a concept and there’s no word on putting an NV300 converted to a mobile workshop into production. It’s been created to prove what can be done, but it might deliver new and practical solutions for customers in the future.

In the meantime, the NV300 can be ordered in different lengths and heights, and with a 5-year or 100,000-mile (160,934 km) transferable warranty in the UK, whichever comes first.
