The 2012 CR-V won’t be the only brand-new production model from Honda to make its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th as the Japanese automaker announced that the 2013 Fit EV will also be displayed in final form.

Honda had presented a thinly disguised concept of the Fit EV exactly a year ago at the 2010 edition of the LA Show. The production variant of the pure-electric Fit will be closely modeled after last year’s study and is expected to keep its lithium-ion battery and coaxial electric motor.

Last year, the Japanese automaker said that the Fit EV would be able to reach a top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h) and offer a driving range of up to miles (160 kilometers).

The company added that the battery can be recharged in less than 12 hours when using a conventional 120-volt outlet, and less than six hours when using a 240-volt outlet.

More details along with the official photos are expected to be released closer to the grand opening of the LA Auto Show.
