If you own a sixth-gen Charger and would like to do something different with it, then you might want to consider getting in touch with Smyth Kit Cars in order to purchase one of their Ute kits.
Of course, if you prefer to buy something that’s already been modded, here’s a 2008 Charger R/T Hemi Ute, currently listed for sale priced at $15,500. As you can see, the car was skillfully transformed from a four-door sedan into a small utility truck, and was also given a more aggressive stance.
The exterior features a blue satin 3M wrap and sits two inches closer to the road thanks to a custom spring kit. Other mods include a black chin spoiler for the front and a set of gloss black Hellcat 20-inch wheels that are 9-inches wide out front and 10-inches at the rear.
Speaking of the rear, in case you’re wondering where those taillights come from, the tuner specifies that they are modified Dodge Grand Caravan lights. Meanwhile, the tailgate is Ford-sourced and the rear window comes from a Chevy Colorado pickup.
As for the truck bed, it has a multi-panel aluminum construction and measures a full 6-feet in length. The maximum payload rating is about 900 lbs (408 kg), which isn’t much, but it’s not like a regular Charger could strap on this much weight.
In the end, would you say that this type of mod is something a sixth-gen 2005-2010 Charger should look forward to, or would you rather keep the four-door sedan look?
