We don’t envy anyone that lives in an area where roads are frequently covered in snow and ice. Not only are such conditions just plain miserable but they can also make driving extremely difficult and dangerous. Sounds like a frozen hell to us.

Driving on ice and snow requires practice and while many of us like to think we’re the second coming of Michael Schumacher, no one is (except his son, Mick). Mistakes are bound to be made and unfortunately for one driver in Montreal, Canada, a series of mistakes led to him crashing a recently-purchased 2016 Subaru WRX.

While the clip shows a WRX painfully rear-ending a van, that’s not the most interesting aspect of the video. Instead, it is the reaction of the Subaru driver just moments behind the impact.

While approaching a stop sign, the driver hits the brakes on what appears to be a thin sheet of ice over the road. Unsurprisingly, the aggressive braking locks up the wheels and the car begins to slide. Rather than releasing the brake and trying to swerve into the snow on the sides of the road, the driver pulls the handbrake, making things even worse. The Subaru then slowly and gradually slides into the rear of the van.

For the Subaru owner, it probably felt like an eternity as he slowly slid towards the van. He can be heard screaming “NONONONONONO” before impact. Immediately after the collision, he wails “OH NOOOOOOOOOO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

While we feel for the man and his damaged car, the whole incident is absolutely hilarious.
