For Porsche fans, few things beat a 356 A Speedster in pristine condition. And if you can afford blowing some serious cash on one, then we might have found your new ride.
It will be offered for sale at the SilverstoneAuctions event that takes place on February 23, in Coventry, UK, and is estimated to go for £280,000-£320,000 ($361,107-$412,693/€319,510-€365,155), plus a 15 percent premium, tax included.
This 356 A Speedster was manufactured in 1958 and shipped to New York. It had a silver paint over a red leather interior, and to this day, it still sports the same color combo. However, everything has been either repaired or replaced as part of a full restoration process.

Four years ago, the 356 A Speedster was purchased from an auction at Pebble Beach by the current owner, who imported it to the United Kingdom. Here, the collector sent it to JD Classics of Mayfair for a proper right-hand drive conversion, but it has barely been driven ever since. Still, it has all the import taxes paid and is registered, so whoever decides to buy it will have little else to do than reintroduce it to the road.
The car retains the original 60 PS (59 hp / 44 kW) 1.6-liter flat-four engine with dual Zenith carburetors and a 4-speed transmission. It also comes with the original owner’s manual, tool and jack, a copy of the Porsche Kardex and a CD that shows the restoration work.
