As Ford continues to test the upcoming 2012 B-MAX small MPV, our spies are getting closer to the prototype models revealing more details about the company’s Honda Jazz/Fit and Citroen C3 Picasso rival.

This time, they were able to snap a photo of the car’s interior confirming our hypothesis that only a few minor things will change over the concept model we first saw at the Geneva Salon earlier this year.

In fact, leaving aside the study’s vivid color choices in fabrics and plastics, which may be offered in higher grades, the only notable absence is the leather, trim on the upper level of the dashboard.

The new spy pictures also offer us a clear look of the headlamp and taillight designs, which are almost identical to the concept.

The B-MAX is built on an extended version of the latest Fiesta’s platform architecture and will be offered with a similar engine lineup including Ford’s brand-new 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder EcoBoost gasoline powerplant.

The five-seat model will retain the concept’s sliding rear-doors, though we’ll have to wait and see if Ford has kept the pillar-less design on the production model.

Look for the new B-MAX making its world premiere next year, possibly at the Geneva Salon in March or the Paris Auto Show in September.
