Last year, Vilner found a 1976 Datsun 280Z in Germany, which was literally parked in the owner’s living room. To get the car out, they had to remove some windows, and after that, they took it to their headquarters in Bulgaria, to breathe new life into it.

Work started by disassembling the classic Japanese sports car. As the tuner puts it, everything has come out and has since either been repaired, restored or replaced completely, in what was a complete restoration project. But this being Vilner, they decided to enhance the appeal of the 280Z by giving it their special touch.

Starting from the exterior, the bumpers were removed for a cleaner look, and the car has received a ‘Vilner Cobalt Matt Metallic’ paint, contrasted by copper rose accents. LED lighting units have been added at both ends, the side indicators also feature LEDs and the wheels have a copper rose look.

The ride height has been lowered 20 mm (0.8 in) with the addition of Eibach springs, and there’s a new stainless steel exhaust system, too.

Vilner is mostly specializing in revamping car interiors, so this 280Z has received vintage brown leather on the seats, dashboard, steering wheel and door panels. Light blue accents, blue and brown carpets, blue floor mats and seatbelts, as well as a new roof liner, which provides a sound deadening effect, contribute to the car’s retro vibe.

The rear-wheel drive sports coupe weighs 1,304 kg (2,875 lbs) and is powered by the original 170 PS (168 hp / 125 kW) and 221 Nm (163 lb-ft) of torque 2.8-liter inline-six mated to a 3-speed automatic gearbox.

Despite this being a classic, Vilner won’t hold on to it. In fact, it has already put it up for sale with an asking price of €75,000 ($85,088) which, they claim, is “modest when you consider the amount of work and materials put into this project”.
