Lister has been on a roll as of late, unveiling potent variants of the Jaguar F-Type and F-Pace and allegedly mulling over a 1000+ HP, 250 mph hypercar. However, the British outfit also has something else up its sleeve.
Lister co-owner and chief executive Lawrence Whittaker recently took to Twitter and shared an image of the ‘new Lister Knobbly concept’ that’s currently in development. The image may only show the vehicle from the side, but as side profiles go, it is among the very best.
The sports car has two tiny doors and immediately reminds us of the Ferrari Monza Speedsters. The front half of the concept is dominated by curvaceous wheel arches that sit well above the hood and are sure to create a menacing stance when viewed from the front. Also visible in this image are circular headlights, large rear wheel arches, and a set of lovely buttresses.
Lister’s original Knobbly was revived a few years ago when the company started building continuation models of the race car. Like the concept pictured, the original Knobbly was dominated by towering wheel arches.
It remains unclear what Lister’s plans for the Knobbly are. Will it simply be a show-car that previews the look of potential new vehicles from the company? Maybe. It is also possible that Lister may show the Knobbly concept at a major auto show and put it into limited production if it attracts an adequate number of interested customers.
